The release of David Byrne and Brian Eno’s Everything That Happens Will Happen Today has gone incredibly well, our servers handled the load splendidly and we’ve delivered many terabytes of MP3s and FLAC files around the world since the album’s release August 18th. I was also pleased to see us collect nearly 100 snapshots of the album embedded in sites and blogs all over the Internet. IMHO, this is how simple it should be to sample the music from and purchase an album directly from an artist.

Congrats to David and Brian for the critical acclaim. This is one of my favorite reviews, and I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard a “double buy it!” from the Sound Opinions guys. I’ve been saying for years that “quality is hyper-efficient” in the Media 2.0 world (actually I stole that from Umair) and we’re very fortunate to have been involved with what I consider to be one of the best albums of the year.

Topspin was lucky to find Jim Bumgardner itching to join our fighting force of extraordinary magnitude and in his first couple of days on the job he created this mosaic of David and Brian from the cover of the album. Welcome, Jim!
