[...] Sell Music via iTunes or AmazonThis is approach is simple. Once your music is on iTunes or Amazon, get the URL, use an URL shorter (ideally one like bit.ly that allows you to track clicks) and tweet it to all your fans! Both the label and the artist then encourage fans to re-tweet (RT) the new release link. Ideaden’s Dale Manning recently shared a great post on how well this can work (if you have the fan base) titled: The power of Twitter to sell music. Topspin ate their words and will tell the same thing! [...]

Hello Shamal,

There's no place for indie movie fans to go find movies to download.

For music there's iTunes as a first stop, for comic books there's MyComicShop.com, for used cars there's Autotrader.com , but if someone's at home and wants to watch an indie movie, there's nowhere to really find on. I mean, there's iTunes and Netflicks, there's Youtube and Vimeo, but nothing that's really IndieMovies.com

I'd love to see TopSpin do something... different channels for the pay-what-you-like download, the deluxe letterpress DVD, poster and T-Shirt channel... you know. You basically have everything right now for a great IndieMovie.com site.

How about it?!

Best wishes to you,
Ysanne

This is great - I've been following you (via the site) for quite a while, and I wondered how you'd go about training and education. I'm definitely interested in this for new projects I'm starting, and I'm going to look into it further. I feel like you're headed in the right direction when it comes to the future of the music business, and I really want to be involved with an organization (or even just an idea) that thinks about things in such a similar way to my own organization.
